			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A <a href="http://www.contliv.com/recommends/displacement_transducer/30/">displacement transducer</a> which is commonly known as LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) is a sensor of high-resolution electronic, which is used to measure linear displacement. It is a trustworthy instrument used in labs and industry for taking automated measurement of tools. The displacement transducer has three solenoids inside it. The primary part is the centre coil and two outer coils comprise the secondary. A current is passed through the primary coil, which gives rise to the voltage which is to get induced in the secondary coils to have a mutual inductance with the primary coil.</p>
<p>There are two basic types of displacement transducers. They are:-</p>
<p>1. A.C Linear Variable Differential Transformer or A.C Displacement Transducer which posses three coils wounded up in a hollow cylinder with the middle one as the primary winding. The primary winding s fixed in the centre and is connected to the others in a series. There is even a conductive core which is inserted in the hollow cylinder. The conductive core develops into the core of the transformer.</p>
<p>2. D.C. Linear Variable Differential Transformer or D.C Displacement Transducer works similar to that of A.C LVDT. Circuits are provided to transform the A.C. current to D.C.</p>
