A displacement transducer which is commonly known as LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) is a sensor of high-resolution electronic, which is used to measure linear displacement. It is a trustworthy instrument used in labs and industry for taking automated measurement of tools. The displacement transducer has three solenoids inside it. The primary part is the centre coil and two outer coils comprise the secondary. There are two basic types of displacement transducers. They are:-
